Collector appeal and nostalgia keeps driving up the prices; kinda like the Garands. Nothing special for shooters or hunters, but collectors go over the moon every time. If you carried one in real-life, you know the 1911s were just okay shooters with mil ball ammo. Have fun growing the collection.
