Cleaning cloths?

I was at the flea market this week, and came across a booth/table where they were selling a cleaning cloth that used coconut oil to polish/clean metal. The lady assured me it was safe for all metal and finishes. I sadly didn't find my first razor until after I passed that booth, so I couldn't double back to verify her claim. Maybe when I visit next week, I will bring a old razor with me in case she's present again. IIRC, they were 1 for 6, 2 for 10, so it can't hurt to buy one for home and one for the back pack I carry with all my flea market tools, like flashlights, screw drivers, lock tools, water, and dating info for razors/Zippo Lighters.

I've seen cloths like that sold at fairs, flea markets, etc. I've picked them up from time to time, and they do work. Never had a problem with them, and on certain metals they really put a shine on. :thumbup1:

I remember the cleaning cloths with lemon--they came in a plastic bag...They just came out I remember and back when my old man did flea markets he sold them. Miracle Cloth or something or other. Never heard of these though.

These were def. coconut. The smell was unmistakable. That, and it said it on the packaging. :biggrin1:

Just want to update. I picked up some of these clothes and WOW, to they shine things up nice. Things that Mass was leaving swirl marks on, this cleaned/polished great. I've used it on my many Zippos, and it leaves the paint alone and pulls up a lot of dirt. Took rust off of some pieces of glass that were in contact with metal, and got rust stains. They even get rid of the zinc tarnish on my elongated pennies. Just letting everyone know if they come across some to try then out.

Sounds good, never seen anything like that around here. So now there are Five items in the world that you need to solve any problem, right?

These clothes work some pure magic on razors. I use them on my new and vintage Gillettes. My dad purchased some on the bay and gave me one to try. I have been polishing up my razors with great results ever since. They work really well on my white gold wedding ring too! The bag mine came in looks like it's straight out of the 50's. The bag reads: "Miricle all purpose cleaning cloth with real coconut oil". If anyone finds more of these please share where they got them from. I would love to pick a few up.

Just found the cloths I described still on Ebay. 3 cloths for next to nothing shipped. I have been using the same one for well over a year now.

Search for "Miracle Cloth" on Ebay and you shouldn't have any trouble finding it. Look for the one in the red bag and the 50's graphics.

The ones I find on ebay by searching for "Miracle Cloth" seem to be the Lemon kind? the packing reads "Now with Lemon Oil", cant find a mention of coconut oil in the packing. Even on google all the packing images I find for these say Lemon Oil.

Anyway I purchased some to give it a try, thanks :)

Well, on my eBay, I only see one Lemon, and the rest are coconut.

Found it, the problem was I was only looking at EU vendors.... (co.uk ebay) :)

The .com reviled the other ones! Thanks ;)

+1
Look for the ones with the retro style advert on the packaging.

The lemon ones have the very same retro advert, the only change is one says Lemon the other says coconut. :)
