Brushless creams...

BURN IT! BURRRN IT! SEND IT BACK TO HELL!

Had my first go with a tube of Lea Brushless today...I figured I would give it a go to see if it was any good as a travel cream...Oh it shaves just fine and all...:glare:

But it's so !@#$ING GREASY THAT I HAVE TO TAKE ANOTHER SHOWER TO WASH IT OFF! :mad3::angry::thumbdown

If any of you out there are considering giving it a try to replace your brush and normal cream/soap for travel use...Don' bother...:thumbdown

Cremo is one of my current favorite brushless creams, you way want to give it a try. At $8 it's reasonably priced too.

I also like Cremo. It doesn't require too much and its real slick. Its great for when I am short on time or just plain exhausted and don't want to whip up a lather.

I got a tube of the Cremo as a gift and have not yet used it. I don't care for brushless creams. Is it possible/worth it to get a decent lather with a brush with this?

I don't believe it would lather up on a brush. I've never tried it, but in using it I've seen nothing that would indicate "latherability".

Maybe I'll give it a try. Can't fail any more miserably than with that Trader Joe's Mango stuff my wife thought she was doing me a favor by buying.

I've used it with a brush and got a decent lather but I never 'loved it' with a brush. My belief is that it really shines when hand lathering. I squirt an almond sized amount in my wet hand, rub my hands together for 5-10 seconds and then proceed to rub the cream into my beard for 45-60 seconds. The lather 'looks' to be rather thin and broken-up but you will get an amazing shave. The beauty is... when it's time for a second pass, just rinse your face a little and proceed to pass two... it really penetrates the skin and all you need is a splash of water to re-hydrate the primary buttress (the beard area:lol:, I'm been dying to use those words in a sentence). With a post like this, you'd think I'm a vendor for this product.:biggrin1: Usual disclaimers...1) YMMV, 2) I haven't been paid by Cremo in any way shape or form

I use the LEA shaving stick when travelling. It is light and compact.

Yhea, I've got some Lea...Or is it Bea...Whatever...Shave stick which I probably will use for travel rather than the brushless cream. The stick and brush take up the same space as a full tube of Lea Brushless, and don't leave me feeling all greasy.

Gave it a try this morning with my new Semogue Owner's Club brush. Lathered up into a big, frothy concoction with the greatest of ease. Lots of lather, but light/frothy without much cushion - but slick! All-in-all, I think it worked just fine and will keep using it like this. Reminded me a bit of my Kiss-My-Face...:thumbup1:

I found I didn't like or dislike Cremo, whether it was mixed with a brush or applied directly to my face. I shaved fine with but it didn't seem to live up to it's claims of being more lubricating or more efficient.

I agree that some of the snake oil type hype on the label is over the top. But I thought it worked well overall and is reasonably inexpensive.

Does it have fake bacon fat (all fat no taste)? Yuk :thumbdown !

I occasionally use Cremo, mostly when I'm in a rush. Apply some, one pass WTG, one ATG and I'm done. ... OK, not BBS, but certainly a good shave. Sometimes I'll use a bit of Cremo as the base for a superlather. Cremo slickness and the lovely cushion of Tabac soap. Now that always yields a great shave.
