Brand new water softner and whole house filter

I just put in a water softner and a whole hose filter and now I guess I am going to have to re-learn how to build my lather! I have tried for two days with ok results but it is a bummer because I use to be able to whip up an amazing lather with almost no effort!

Last night I used some MB Dragon Tears and loaded it a little longer and it seemed to work out well enough but it didn't seem to be as thick and creamy as before. I guess I just need to try more product.

Has anyone else found this to be true?

I thought the opposite was supposed to happen when you get a water softener.

That's strange. We bought a system for our house a few years ago. Now, with our soft water, I can get great lather from just about any soap.

Our new place has soft water and my lather is better than ever. It builds much faster with less product and it's richer and slicker.

I had to install one of those whole house filters b/c of all the iron in my well. I can get a decent lather out of most everything except Casswell Massey soaps.
