I have to agree with the OP here. When I first read the title of this thread, the first image that popped into my my was Jag e-type. And darned if the second image wasn't the Austin-Healey 3000.

Now before my American brethren chide me, I should all that a 1963 split window Stingray is right up there. I would also have to give a nod to the Lincoln-Zephyr of the late 30s to around 1941 when Lincoln became a division of Ford rather than a separate brand. V-12, beautiful Cabriolet looks. What's not to love? Epitomises the class of the fat fender years.
