Barbicide or Clippercide ?

I am sure this post has been done already . I apologize in advance but I really do not want to sift through countless posts. The question I pose gentlemen is what would be the preferred method of Sterilizing a vintage safety razor? Barbicide (Plus?) Or Clipperide? I am leaning towards the Clippercide because I have read it leaves a film of lubrication behind which I imagine would help with a TTO Design.

I have both at home because I cut my own hair and have used both. You probably could not go wrong either way.

They all use "Quats" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quaternary_ammonium_cation

Same thing in scrubbing bubbles and pine-sol and I think lysol too.

Also noted in other posts is that if it is a vintage razor, AIDS dies in hours outside the body, hepatitis in a couple weeks, and just about everything else dies in between an hour and a couple weeks. So just washing it and maybe spritzing it with some lysol or 409 or whatever for a minute should be more than enough.

I'm going to try the Mar-V-cide clipper spray because it also says it inhibits rust as well. I have a beard trimmer and I think this will work well for a DE razor as well. I hope bumping this post will help new shavers make the right choice in keeping their gear clean

Yes...should work fine on a DE razor, but electric clippers of any sort should always get a few drops of oil after using the aerosol disinfectants, they float away the protective ,heavier oil even though the cans say "lubricates"...Your electric clippers really need a good coating of clipper oil to cut properly and to keep the blades from wearing out prematurely.
