Please tell me that orders are still open... [emoji2363][emoji1694]
OK. Thank you for the reply. [emoji1360]Sorry you are too late to put an order in. You might get a chance to pick up one of the spare bowls but no promises.
Looking good Chris! It is amazing to see the color contrast between the two stummels. Is the brown one not as old as the black one or is it a characteristic of where they were geographically?A couple of bowls off the lathe and the first rough shaping pass at the sanding wheel done.

Is the hole all the way through to the bowl or will you be able to salvage it for another project/rusticate?Another casualty today.
I don't mind so much if flaws show up at the rough cut stage, very little work invested and only the materials lost really. After I put a lot of work into a bowl though and have almost finished the shaping it is very depressing.

Is there a % of expected casualty with morta? It sucks that you put all the work in and can’t salvage it for something.

Do you throw away the bowl or could you find another use for the material like a tamper or something?
Still trying to learn about morta, is that stummel still in its natural color without staining? I'm assuming that it is unstained?
