Antique store pickup - surprise!

I passed through an antique store the other day, and ran across this travel case:

really cute little aqua velva bottle:

Pretty nice Tech in there too:

Heck, quite a steal for all of four dollars.

I just checked the date code...whattaya know! It's a Tech from my birthday quarter! I was trying to figure out what to do with the set, but I'll be keeping it now.

I'll ask him when I meet him. In the meantime, I'll use it every now and then. I must admit that I feel a bit guilty on days that I don't use straights, but this will help keep that emotion at bay.

I sniffed the AV, and yes, it's similar but different from the current stuff.

I probably won't use the brushless Williams or the Palmolive soap, but yep, the hardware will get used: I'll refill the AV bottle with fresh stuff and use the Tech.

The elastic bands are stretched out and if I lose the AV bottle box, the bottle itself won't have a place to go.

No place to put a brush either. Might slide a straight in one of the elastics though. We'll see.

Maybe some fountain pen stuff can fit....heh heh....

yea i normally dont pick up those sets but at 4 bucks that a steal. people usually ask an arm and a leg for them. i would have bought it just cuz i think the AV bottle is cool not to mention that its ur birth year/quarter razor. great find.
