I've just fallen in love with Personna med preps, first shave with one after using basic Derby, Shark Super Chrome, Lord and a local supermarket platinum chrome brand. Wow what a difference a blade can make!
But the worst thing I've done is order a straight razor starter kit from whipped dog.
Will my DE's mind sharing my den and being part of a harem?
I always try to tell SWMBO that variety is the spice of life!

de razors give me more nicks n cuts..the blades can "flex"..I use mine very rarely..straights are VERY smooth and close..you can always rotate all your things..no worries!

I bounce back and forth between a number of DE, SE, and straight razors.

By the way, your supermarket Platinum Chrome blades are most likely Personnas. Just Platinum Chrome instead of Stainless Steel. Both are about the same performance wise (to me).

While it is perfectly acceptable to have more than one razor, it is frowned upon (in most countries) to have more than one wife. If you try it, you might find that wife #1 will attempt to use straight razor #1 to dissuade you.
