I picked up a vintage Old Spice mug on eBay, and was melting down some Col. Conk Almond Glycerine soap to pour into it. Generally I prefer to double boil instead of using the microwave. When I was taking the bowl of melted soap from the pot of water, the tongs slipped and some water got mixed in with the soap. I left it out to cool instead of putting it into the fridge, hoping that the water would evaporate out as it cooled, but I've noticed my lather has been on the foamy side since.
I don't want to go blaming the water contamination right away, since I'm relatively new to lathering and it could be an issue with technique. Has anyone out there either experienced this themselves, or able to shed some light on whether or not this would effect my shaves?
Cheers,
Craig
