A trip down memory lane, my first grail razor.

I was cleaning out a folder on my laptop this evening and spotted this old pic from years ago. I was casually browsing the bay one evening and boom, there it was. Seller had no idea, listed them as 2 used Gillette razors. Others spotted it too so I can't brag about getting it cheap. At least back when I started collecting they only cost an arm and you could keep the leg, no idea what they are worth today. Here is the original listing pic. Although it looks corroded, I was happy to discover only dirt and grime.

Fatboy with out of norm Dial Placement, did you restore, replace, make like new. Or just use as is?

I don't think I have ever sold anything. Still have it. Will be PIFing some soon. Not that one though.

Gillette Bottom Dial as received. I shave with it on occasion, feels like a regular Fatboy. I like to joke that someone at the factory went in drunk one day and that is the result. The Bottom Dials were made in 1960, limited production, before they moved the mechanism to under the head like the other Fatboys. Fyi, the plastic case with the magnifying window at the other end is more rare than the razor itself. I don't have a case for it.
