My wife watched with me. I have not let her know why I resigned chose this series to watch, but she is as interested in continuing as I am.

A thought to float to the group..

Is there any interest in extending the enrollment window? I remember years ago we kicked off the restraint for next year in October or November. We had over 100 participants.

Recently, because we started so much later we have had fewer participants.

As I see it, if you decide to join later in January or even February, so long as you have stuck to the rules outlined, you should be allowed to join. This way we could have a larger group of rebels-err, spies...

The re-stocking period in January is only for those who succeeded in completing the 2022 GRU sabbatical. For those joining in for the first time (or who did not succeed in the current GRU) the no item criteria starts January 1st.

As a first time participant I really want to strive for no exceptions. Last night I reached out to the vendor making my custom brush (order placed 06/2022). I was advised that he will be in touch later this week or next week to collect payment. It was my way of trying to will the transaction to be completed before the calendar flips to January.

Hi,

Lots of new check-ins. Nice!

As to the extension for sign-ups, I allowed such last year given the really, really late opening once I realized no one had a new theme. My Soylent Green idea wasn't the best and so I just extended the Star Trek theme of the year before. Anyway, I allowed late sign-ups until the end of the restock period for the previous year winners. So, that allowed folks new to the restraint to also have the restock period. After that, I allowed late sign-ups until the end of January as long as those folks said they hadn't purchased anything.

So, this year, I am open to allowing late sign-ups until the end of January as long as it can be stated that nothing has been purchased since January 1st. That ought to cover it reasonably well.

Additionally, I am also open to allowing anything ordered prior to January 1st to be OK even if the payment occurs after January 1st. Sometimes, an order gets paid at the time of ordering. Sometimes when the order is ready for shipment. And, that really isn't up to the person placing the order (well, most of the time anyway).

The entire point of all this is to have fun while trying to not follow rabbits down holes. And, so I am always open to some modifications of the rules as long as that goal is met.

He's a cute little guy, but he wants to eat the lettuce in your wallet for lunch!

As far as the avatar, I got lucky and swiped it from a Prisoner website. But all I saw were number two and six. Always six of course.

The font is Albertus, which came from someone doing metal engraving long before the show.

It is somewhat modified for the series, but most of it is pretty close to this chart I found.
