yesterday i picked up a Crystal alum bar and some good ole Clubman. never used either one until just a few minutes ago. after my shave i rinsed my face then rubbed the Crystal around. didn't burn at all, which i gather is a good thing, cept right under my chin where i had a few lil nicks from going ATG (always and only happens there!) but the alum sealed em right up!
i then rinsed out my brush while the alum did its job. i did another quick rinse and applied the Clubman. i was totally expecting it to sear my face off but it was very pleasant! no burning sensation, no Home Alone scream, and the smell is awesome! classic scent, reminds me of the barbershop.
overall im glad i added these 2 to my collection, i likely wont use the Clubman everyday, as i like to change up my AS, but the Crystal i hear is a good antiseptic which prolly wouldn't hurt using after a razor was just ran across my skin.
i towel dried the Crystal and left the lid off for it to dry completely....is this a good practice? or does it matter?
