Got this from the bay, in a Tech Box. All cleaned up now. Someone said this razor was mild with a regular blade (rather than the oddball Ammco blades), I have to agree whole heartedly, BUT its effective as you could possibly want. 2 pass BBS using VHD Luxury (my control soap for new razors) with a couple of touch ups that i always have to do. There was no aggressiveness feel like with my Progress on 3-4 or my Fatboy/Slim/Black Beauty on 5 but it was every bit as, or perhaps even more effective. It really felt like a cartridge in the fact that i didn't feel the danger of the blade on my skin, or that with a slight miss step I coudl release the red sea on my granite. This may be due to the fact that it is handle heavy while the aforementioned razors are head heavy. BTW the pictures really don't do it justice. its hard to get the right lighting to show its shininess. For something from the 1930's its friggin beautiful. All i can say is if you find one GET IT. I paid $40ish for it. I may have over paid, but it's hard to gauge since you don't really see them for sale. I'm happy with the purchase and at the end of that day that is what matters I gotta say again, the handle is gorgeous. Its heavy, feels good in the hand and is not slippery at all. I see this guy getting a lot of use. DAMN YOU RAD! My feather portable I got from BST arrived today too. Its nice too, but in a simple elegant sort of way. I can't wait to try it too. BTW i used feather blades in it.
So i got this little beauty today. Dremel Felt polishing bit + Flitz + Razor =
