Aftershave balm

Item Description

This is a truly exceptional product developed by the prestigious Granado Pharmácias, the oldest and best-known pharmacy in Brazil. Granado has been in business since 1870, and Emperor Dom Pedro II made it the official pharmacy of the royal family ten years later. Granado products are easily found within Brazil, but difficult to purchase for non-residents.

Granado’s aftershave balm is rich with the extracts of juniper, mint, cypress, wheat germ and beer yeast; and also contains grapefruit seed oil and rosemary extract. The balm is soothing, refreshing and highly moisturizing. It is perfect for users with sensitive skin who do not tolerate the burn of alcohol-based splashes.

The soothing balm has the consistency of a fine lotion, and the moisturizing effect effects can be felt until the next day’s shave. It is completely non-oily and non-greasy, and it has a pleasant but non-lingering scent of fresh rosemary.

Granado Pharmácias aftershave balm is hands-down the best aftershave balm I have ever used.

Granado products are difficult to find outside Brazil. The firm has developed a wonderful line of shaving products including a shaving soap, aftershave balm and shaving foams; as well as a full line of pharmaceutical, health, bath and beauty products. It has retail locations in five cities within Brazil, and its products are widely available in other retail stores as well.

Although Granado Pharmácias has an attractive website, Brazilian vendors in general are not prepared for non-Brazilian customers. Most will not accept cards issued outside of Brazil (including Visa and MasterCard), and in order to buy online, customers are required to have a Brazilian tax ID.

Unfortunately, this may be the finest aftershave balm you’ll never get to try.
