I posted a thread in the double edge forum about this razor but was asked to also put it here. This 195 belonged to my father in law, he gave me this and a few other of his old razors many years ago. He was a wonderful man who I loved and admired deeply. It is an F1, so first quarter of 1960, and my wife is an F3 so this razor is very, very special to me. I recently decided to have it refurbished so off it went to Chris at Back Roads Gold, and as you can see in the first three pictures it was definitely showing its age. He remembered liking it and using it quite a lot. I opted for the mirror nickel finish and it came out spectacular, Chris does amazing work and the turnaround is very quick. I mailed it on 8-23 and it was delivered to me today, 9-1, and you can keep up with the progress on the website.

Chris is the best. He replated a Hoffritz slant for me and those usually don't get replated because of the materials. And it came out like new!
It's unfortunate though that he isn't doing stainless.

I have a crusty Sheraton which I'm thinking may be on my next BRG order, and I might convert it to a Senator after looking at your pics.

BRG did my Sheraton, it's a thing of beauty.
My razors arrived to Chris on Saturday, and they're shipping back to me today.

Wish I would have taken before pictures, but I can assure you that they were - UGLY - lol.
Also just ordered a re-plated Aristocrat Junior #48 that he happened to have on his Etsy store when I was unsuccessfully trying to find a #21 and then found out the heads are identical.
I am extremely happy with his work!
