Is the chocolate really forward like the PAA Chocolate Bourbon?

Sorry for the late reply. It has been a rough week. I am on the fence with Love Bombs. It has been growing on me over time. I do not find the chocolate dominating, it kind of gets lost within a musky scent. I only use it around valentines day because it really isn't a favorite, although I used it more days then planned this year. I do not have the Chocolate bourbon soap so I can't compare. The real star is the Chocolate Cube. I really like this scent and it is pure chocolate. I highly recommend the cube. Scents are so subjective. I hope that helps.

Todays shave was my first shave with the 1940s Gillette tech head with the aluminium spiral handle.

Pre shave: Proraso.
Shaving cream: TOBS coconut.
Post shave: Proraso cut cream(first use ) and Proraso post shave balm.

Lather bowl: Boker 2 section thumbhole.
Brush: Simpson T3.
Blade: Personna platinum.
Razor: Vintage Gillette tech 1940s.

I paired the Personna blade with the Gillette knowing the blade can be aggressive for some, but the razor head is said to be mild. I got a good enough shave but had 3 weepers on my top lip at one side. Likely down to my inexperience.

I suspected I wouldn’t like the small aluminium handle and was proven to be correct. It felt too light and my hand obscured view of the razor head while shaving atg on my neck. Ive had my eye on a brass chrome handle to pair with it, so health and safety may dictate I have to buy it now.

Love this very nice fragrant scented soap! The lather was really creamy and slick enough...
The shave with this razor after refreshing it through the Naniwa 12k then stropped on buffalo leather was much more smoother and comfortable. 3passes for a dfs result without any issues. The aftershaves were really nice too...

Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Sea Salt & Fennel Extract 2 in1 Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent Soap with Mint Extracts.
Brush: Omega 1470.
Face Lather.
Lather : Boots Original Shave Stick.
Blade: Provision Personna PTFE SS. (D2)
Razor: Supply Razor V2.

Post:
Cold water Face Wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Boots Freshwood ASL + ASB

A relaxing sunday morning shave.

Another wonderful performance from the Supply Razor.. I find the hefty weight of the razor a great bonus and have trained my mind to 'shave the lather from my face, rather than the stubble find my shaving angle which is easy to do so then glide it over your face to remove the stubble.

Only the second shave with the Supply and my fondness for this razor is growing rapidly.

Another comfortable 2 pass + pick ups smooth shave with no errors to report...Finishing to the shave off with a small dollop of Boots Freshwood ASB.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.
