Lovely single edge shave again. These blades really keep going,with a previous one I easily got to 10 shaves.
The Tabac soap is nearing it's end. Will not replace, first need to finish some other soaps as well.

Shave # 17 on the blade in the Gillette New Improved gold razor. Vintage Tabac made in West Germany has extra strong grandma purse scent, much bolder and louder compare to modern Tabac and still going strong!

Silver New Improved is just a prop for vintage SOTD theme .

A scintillating shave. The olive oil base of CRSW's Oliva is excellent, lathering easily and providing very good slickness and cushioning, and a lovely post-shave feel.
The scent is a delight - a clean fresh green fougère. The vintage Swede blade scythed down my four day growth smoothly and effortlessly, leaving me grinning.

A nice shave, but the blade's sharpness is fading (20). I managed to get an irritation free shave with the vintage pre war Tech though, 3 passes, dfs at the better end of the scale

Sunday SOTD, nothing vintage today, two passes to a DFS result, 9/10, pretty smooth, another easy going shave with no mishaps or irritation at all:

Pre-shave: shower, bloom water
Razors: Maxwell June twinned DE
Blades: Sharp Star (3)- blade started to tug ATG under the jawline, but I did switch razors
Brush: Rein Dachs Klassik- 20 x 52 mm badger- helped make a fine lather today
Soap: Grooming Department Mallard Almond Vanilla- this soap makes an excellent lather
Post-shave: cold rinse, L'Occitane BAUX ASB, mild comforting scent, excellent face feel

Result: The 1953 Gillette Tech is the oldest razor in my small razor collection & on my Top 5 DE razors it is ranked #2. Mild but efficient vintage razor, nothing beats a Tech, except the Fatip Open Comb razors, the mighty Piccolo & the great Grande. The vintage Tech & the modern classic Fatip are great lifetime razors that I recommend. Voskhod is a sharp & smooth Teflon coated Russian blade made by Mostochlegmash that I discovered early on in my wet shaving journey. I always enjoy stellar performance from Russian blades. Bowl lathered producing dense, creamy, moist lather. Haslinger loves water, slick, very good cushion & protection. Excellent post shave skin feel, moisturized. Stellar performer. Finished the shave with Lucky Tiger, or as my brother calls it, Sex Panther. 60% of the time it works every time! BBS result. Great Shave!
