Comments	I am using my Wolfman WR2 SB 1.05 razor – the last razor I purchased – loaded with a Personna Med Prep blade for the fourth have. I switched over to the Klar soap. This soap has given me 167 shaves so far. An excellent shave although the colder weather today has flared up arthritis in my hands. Have a good one, folks.

First use of the Floris shaving cream. Wonderful stuff. Of course, it has the famous No 89 scent, and as is often the case with top shelf creams, forms significant quantities of lather from a relatively small amount of cream. Excellent cushion and slickness. Three passes for a BBS result. The NOS Gillette Super Silver blade continues to perform beautifully in the Slim Aristocrat, which is hardly surprising, given they are of similar age and were engineered for each other.

This SOTD theme almost bled me to death. Well, a good nick on the chin anyway. The MMOC is a find from a vintage store this week. It is acknowledged by some to be one of the more aggressive of the Gem razors. The blade was on its first use. Also understood to be the most aggressive shave of these blades. So I ended up with a good shave except for that nick on the chin.

I love a good Mystery
Just as I thought! I had some discomfort on my last shave with the “Mystery Edge”, but I was pretty sure it was caused by the comb from the circa 1909 Gillette Single Ring razor dragging on my face.
When I really want the true measure of a blade I always seem to go for my black handle Gillette. Without that sharp comb the Mystery Edge blade was smooth and gave me no discomfort at all. I did give all four edges ten strops each before shaving.
I’ve been been revisiting my Proraso more and more, finding it to give good protection without overloading my face with excess oils and fats. My face just doesn’t need them.

Pre-shave: face wash and a hot towel, it was chilly in the house this morning

Soap: WSP Formula T Ol' Kentucky
Brush: Simpson Commodore X2 in Best
Post-shave: cool rinse, and then a small splash of decanted Master Bay Rum AS

Sometimes I forget how nice a one-pass shave can be!
