What's new

Ya'ay, nuts, jelly bean !

Ya'ay,

My Goulet order finally passed customs so I have some new guys to play with

Nuts,

While trying to figure out what size paper to go with I accidentally split the difference and got big paper and little envelopes, so now I have to decide whether it's worth cutting the paper in half since its the same size as the A5 paper anyway and only cost me an extra 4 bucks for my own troubles, but I have one of those paper cutters with the pivoting machete looking arms and the grid table that I could cut them down proper and quickly easy enough

Jelly Bean !

Forget an ink sample I GOT JELLY BEANS, they were delicious, a great sample pack filled with creamy unique as well as traditional beans.... highly recommended for the jelly bean connoisseur

I'll post up some reviews and thoughts when I get home and have a chance to play with the haul $20121109_125844.jpg

Congrats! I got the jelly beans with my order today too. Gave me some well needed energy to open the package. I'll post my pic later.

I forgot to mention, as usually i dont mention it, but boy do the goulets know how to package up your goods,.. i should have taken a picture of that, nice looking and very secure

Lol you know i was kind of surprised at the amount of responses just to the jelly bean part,... usually i do that stuff just to entertain myself, but its always way more fun when people come along lmao,...

They were good jelly beans, made the wieght for the box well worth it

So you're saying you bought more than Jelly Beans from the Goulet's?
Is that what that other stuff was in the picture? :001_tongu

Now I actually have to go back and take a second look at that picture.
Ahhh, G. Lalo paper I see. My dad has some. It's very nice stationary.

The, uh, hold up in customs? That box left Virginia with three or four bags of jellybeans. They had to make sure they were really jellybeans, y'unnerstand.

Here you can see the lines in the paper that add a bit of texture to the look of it

Someone also sent me some ghost blue and a preppy highlighter to fill it with for my nephew to play with, thought i would play with it before him

Nice wax seal. I've heard the wax holds up well and if it doesn't you can melt the hot glue sticks into it for extra support.
I should get me one of those.
Cool stuff.

You can see how it warped the paper here,.. not sure if that would bother anyone, but something to think about, im sure if you put a glass overtop of it as it dried to keep the weight on it it wouldnt do this, finally i can catch up on some letters with some style ! and a little class

I have 4 or 5 people i write to now Marc, its always awesome finding a letter in the mail box, and cool way to catch up with people, takes on such a different feel, online interchanges have more of a telephone feel to them as they happen on an instant level, the letters having to take the time to write and mail then wait back add something different, Edski Ed and i started doing it a while back they are always worth a chuckle and some cool insights into his evil genius you should PM brian and get into the group, send a few PMs and try it out, you already have the hardware in the Nib section so you dont have to worry about flairing up any new ADs lol,... and you get to see how some inks write on paper, having them in your hand is so much different then online pictures as everyones monitors are set up a bit different

I belong to a letter exchange group here.
I just haven't written a letter to anyone recently.
Looks like it's time to poke my head in and get writing.
