Oh my!
Split pea soup is my FAVORITE soup! But alas, it attacks my stomach about an hour after I eat it. And I mean ATTACK!
Random question: does anyone think using "Beano" before use would help? I'm willing to try anything. I haven't enjoyed a bowl of this in easily 30 years. Lol, I've EATEN it plenty, just not able to enjoy it.
And before @KeenDogg says anything, no, I didn't eat too much of it, thank you very much!

I cook most everything in that 6qt Dutch Oven. 6qt's is a lot. I'm not sure 12qt's would be enough.

No kidding. It’s the roll in “r’s”. That does it for me.
I had a female boss from Birmingham England. We used to have quite the conversations about English colloquialisms that sounded dodgy her in the States. We stayed away from politics though. She was dang near a Socialist and was of the opinion that the government should take care of everyone.
I am like Gomez Adams, except Spanish instead of French (though I like the sound of that, too).
I’m thinking that with snow coming, Tulsa Public Schools Bean Chowder sounds really good. Now to muster the energy to make it.
