Wilkinson Sword Empire razor instructions

I just picked up this:

and the insert gives 3 brief instructions, it doesn't really say how to remove the blade, or stropping in detail. I'm going to cut the heck out of myself by fooling with it - or break something.

Any help?

thanks,

See here for blade removal.

Thanks, but that is a later model (50s I think), this one is a 30s I believe. Sometimes the obvious just doesn't ping on my reality. I found the instructions displayed <somewhere>, for this set, and I was able to read and see exactly how to do this simple task:

1) Turn the knob at the bottom of the handle left a couple of turns, don't force it. This releases the head so it's free to pivot.

The screw at the back of the head appears to control a tension device (applies or releases pressure on a spring) that is probably used to keep proper tension on the blade (keeping it in place against the guard stops) as the blade loses width due to sharpening.

2) Using your thumb, push in the tension screw which moves the guard out and once the blade is free from the guard stops, gently push up on the screw, which will pivot the blade mechanism up and out of the base plate.

3) With the blade holder free from the guard, hold the left side of the blade holder between your thumb and forefinger - with the blade vertical and the guard away from you - then with your right thumb and fore finger slide the spring clip to the right.

Now to figure out the rest: How to hone a wedge blade and the stropping mechanism.

I have an complete set of a seven days but no blades. Any help?? I'm spanish and here its a very rare object. I'm sure I can shave but with no blades...
Help

Any original blade will fit in the seven day blade holders. If you have these, then you have to buy another razor, just for the blades. In my opinion, the blades are more rare than the razor. Send Pics of what you have. I have a few threads started on the SE forum. I like these a lot. I have three coming in the mail as we speak.
