As above. For years I held Roger responsible but now I'm older and wiser I think Dave is the guilty party. Who is responsible in your eyes gentlemen?
Yoko Ono.
Unless the topic is "which celebrity is most like shaving with a rusty beer can?"That woman has no right to be mentioned on a shaving forum!

Well, to me was a clash of egos.
They were one of the gratest bands ever, but they retired like just any other bar band (In my opinion). They never had, and never will have a proper good bye with their fans.

That is my grudge with the Floyd. I seen them live (minus Waters) but I just think two egos spent so much time depriving their fans it's criminal. Now Rick has gone the moment has passed.
Proper goodbyes are overrated. I saw the Who's proper goodbye at Shea Stadium, in 1982. Now they're playing the Super Bowl!
They were aleady shot at that point, if it makes you feel any better.
July 3, 1977- Roger Waters plays the encore at Madison Square Garden, wearing my shirt.

Edit:
Dammit, someone beat me to the joke!
I opened this thread specifically to post that answer.
Why was he wearing your shirt? I love stories like this.
They broke up because they had done all they wanted to do as a band - no one is to blame or is responsible. A band, like any other collaborative venture whether it's in science and technology or art, has a life cycle and eventually the creative energy no longer flows between its members. People get bored and burnt out and the small issues start to overshadow the larger mission. Luckily, in the case of Pink Floyd, they had all made enough cash that the break up allowed them to move on to new things unburdened by such details as needing a regular job with a paycheck.

Me too!
Maybe it's no joke then, since it is the first thing that popped into so many of our minds.
