Marco, What is the best way to use a shaving stick - by direct facial application and then directly lather with the brush on the face or should you scrape a bit of the stick into a shaving bowl then lather up?

For shaving sticks I have my own technique, what I like to call a "double loading method".

1. I wet my face and rub the wet stick against my beard until a light white film is created on the entire shaving area.

2. After that I wet the brush, squeeze it at its base and rub the stick over the tips of the brush. I use a circular motion here and stop only when a proto-lather is created.

3. I start face lathering and add some water to the brush during the process as needed.

This "double loading method" works beautifully for me.
