I had bechamel sauce and Sourdough bread. I didn’t have ham and the proper cheese. So I used roast beef and cheddar. Not in the picture but I added an over easy egg. A bastardized Croque Monsieur or something? Whatever it was good. Comfort food for a rough Tuesday.
I took a pan and I melted every dog end of cheese I could find in the fridge, mixed it with some milk, 'half & half' creamer (we were out of cream), butter, and a little flour and made baked mac and cheese. served it with fresh steamed broccoli and baked beans. Too much nutty white cheese in the blend- Jarlsberg & Swiss in particular. Still pretty good. This dish never turns out the same way twice!
A proper fried breakfast tonight. We're finally going to break out the black & white puddings we bought last week as well, so I'll be eating blood pudding all weekend. And that's fine by me.
Grilled sirloin and a garden salad topped with sliced tomatoes, onion, cucumber, green pepper, croutons, bacon bits and Hidden Valley Ranch. Both the steak and the salad were top notch.
Daughter was wiped out after yesterday’s promotion ceremony and we ended up with take out Chinese. Tonight she requested jaeger schnitzel with spaetzel. ‘‘Twas delicious.
Wife has been in the hospital the past couple of days so I am cooking for one grilled burger with homemade steak fries (air fryer) and homemade pickled okra and green tomatoes
