What's for Dinner at Your House?

This is my wife’s doing. She made coquilles Saint-Jacques based on Ina’s recipe. We used frozen bay scallops from Sprouts and added some shrimp. Pretty darn good seafood meal for the middle of the desert!

Spending some time at the Oregon Coast and wanted to learn how to surf fish. So far I have managed to catch fish the last three days, but nothing big. Today I lost the biggest one right at my feet, it was easily twice as big as the largest I had so far, potentially pound and a half fish. 😡

These Red Tail perch make for a perfect fried fish meal.

Time for a change to the agenda.
Indian cuisine in Appalachia. That’s fun.
Tonight....a basic, tratidional, tasty shrimp curry. Don’t even try this dish unless you have Indian chili powder (Kashmir is excellent).

Looks great! I wish that my stomach would still allow me to eat curry.

Last night was gloomy and rainy so wife fixed homemade potato chowder with cornbread with fresh tomato and cucumber on the side, love this time of year.

I had smoked brown trout for breakfast unaware that my neighbor would be offering me 3 fresh brown trout this afternoon. Grilled them with small new potatoes and fresh zucchini, the first of the season.
