This is my wife’s doing. She made coquilles Saint-Jacques based on Ina’s recipe. We used frozen bay scallops from Sprouts and added some shrimp. Pretty darn good seafood meal for the middle of the desert!

Spending some time at the Oregon Coast and wanted to learn how to surf fish. So far I have managed to catch fish the last three days, but nothing big. Today I lost the biggest one right at my feet, it was easily twice as big as the largest I had so far, potentially pound and a half fish.

Poor mans dinner. Beans, sausage and Jasmine rice.

Chicken stir fry, tasty, with feta cheese, tomatoes, & fresh cucumber slices.
Last night was gloomy and rainy so wife fixed homemade potato chowder with cornbread with fresh tomato and cucumber on the side, love this time of year.

I had smoked brown trout for breakfast unaware that my neighbor would be offering me 3 fresh brown trout this afternoon. Grilled them with small new potatoes and fresh zucchini, the first of the season.
