what to do with those tiny samples of soap?

Well, I had ordered many sample packs of shaving soap. Problem is those tiny little slivers of soap samples were the most difficult to use. I don't have a soap dish small enough and if I did my brush wouldn't fit in it. So how do you load your brush with those tiny samples?

AhHa! Eureka. After helping my wife melt old candles and remake new ones I decided I could use the same method with the soap samples. So all those little pucks went into the double boiler and after a few minutes I had a bath of liquid shaving soap. Filled one of my soap mugs with the melted product, and I now have a decent sized soap puck that I can work with. And the mix of fragrance is very nice!

Am I wrong in thinking that this procedure only work for glycerin based soaps. Or can you do that with tallow based as well?

Melting maybe, but you could still just grate several leftover pucks and sample and mix them together to the same affect.

All samples were tallow based, but what the hey, melt them all together and try.
