Both days 9.5/10 DFS. First, this BIC went the whole week with flying colors. First blade went to heck on shave #5, I’m finishing this tuck consecutively to see how it goes. Second, Man, this MacDuff’s is good stuff! The Bourbon is a great scent, but the Soap is a foolproof latherer, nothing easier. Great shave.

9.5/10 DFS+. Third shave on my third BIC blade, very comfortable.

I'm back to experimenting with the soap samples @Dtownvino gave me and today I'm back to Ethos. I don't know how to describe this scent. Green and fresh fit, I guess, although I didn't smell much "mint", it says it's top notes are spearmint and lemon grass. It's very pleasant, to be sure, but hard to describe. Actually "toothpaste" came to mind for me. I did not know what to pair it with A/S-wise so I went with an old college favorite and barbershop classic, Aqua Velve Ice Blue and that seemed to fit.

The shave was outstanding, but I would not reload this particular scent. You may love it, though, as always, YMMV!

10/10 BBS. Apparently, this scent is discontinued, it is not on their website, I got a sample from @Dtownvino a while back and am just getting around to trying it. Like the other Ethos soaps I've tried, if you nail the right amount of water, the lather is superb. The scent is very nice, but I'm not good at describing them, but you cannot get it any longer anyway, so it doesn't matter, I suppose. It's a very pleasant, mild, clean scent, though. Used the Clubman just because it is an old, old friend, my daily driver for almost 30 years.

Ethos stuff is definitely top-tier.
