I can give you the history of the man on the razor. As etched his name was Salomon August Andrée. He was a Swedish engineer that hoped to be the first man to fly over the North Pole. The summer of 1897 Andrée, the young Lieutenant Strindberg, and engineer Fraenkel took off from Svalbard in the balloon Örnen (The Eagle). Within 48 hours the balloon was totally covered with ice and crashed on the ice. They spent weeks walking over the ice trying to reach land. Finally the managed to reach the tiny desolate island Vitön where Fraenkel perished from what probably was fatigue, Strindberg from what probably was an ice bear attack. Andrée's body was found sitting on a cliff overlooking Strindberg's stone covered grave. Andrée probably starved or froze to death as the one who survived the longest. Their story is known from the diaries they kept that were found at the site.

In 1930 their camp was found by fishermen. The remains of the men were transported to Stockholm where the three men got a state funeral and were celebrated as national heroes. In retrospect their expedition never had a chance to succeed and they were more foolhearted adventurers than scientists, but such was the timespirit.

So You can be pretty sure that your razor is made in 1930 to commemorate the failed Andrée expedition. The etching shows Andrée and below him you can see the balloon Örnen.
