Merkur 39C slant 'Sledgehammer' with new Merkur blade
Vie-Long Peleon horsehair (35% mane / 65% tail) brush

Somerset shaving oil, lather with VDH Deluxe soap
Passes WTG, XTG, ATG plus minor touchup on neck (buffing)
Witch Hazel, Nivea Post shave balm
Geo. F. Trumper Wellington cologne

This was my first shave with the slant. BBS shave, no irritation or razor burn (never had burn anyway). Two minor nicks, not caused by the razor per se. At my age, 66, little neoplasms grow on the neck. A small one was sliced by the razor.

Great razor and nothing to be afraid of if you use no pressure and watch your technique.
