This time I had less scrubbing-induced irritation than usual with this razor… so there’s hope. And the irritation that I did get could have easily been avoided if I just added a little lather before going over that area again. Still finding these mild Gillettes more challenging for me than the more aggressive modern razors, but it’s slowly improving.

Yeah, I took a chance and picked it up from some Marine on BST a few years ago. I've sold off my BB Ti and Timeless Ti and made this one a permanent piece of gear.

For me I had the WR2 SS 1.25 but preferred the Ti, just comes down to individual preference, but no denying they are both great razors.

I read so many posts about Astra SS being good but I've never liked them at all - until today. I used the same blade that had disappointed me in other razors - and in my Merkur 37c I found a perfect pairing. Got such a great shave!

A great shave! It is amazing how much better some blades like the Dorco ST300 work in the Lupo 95!

My only razor is a Henson medium and I like the blades Henson sells. No need to fuss really because no shave is better.

I got rid of three other razors and at least a half dozen soaps and simplified to the Henson and Jack Black Beard Lube. People can wax poetic about other razors and the romance of using a brush but you will never get an easier shave than with these two. This was a little over a year ago if I recall.
