How does the Marvel perform? Any different than the Gillette Techs? I read all the bad BIC reviews, but tried them anyway. At $8 per hundred from a guy on E-Bay, they've become my top favorite blade & perform great in all my razors, especially the 3 piece Techs Old and New Types.

I'm interested in a Marvel for the handle alone.

For the Fine Marvel Razor there is no way I’d put another BIC blade in it. It ate me up big time. But the shave before the BIC I used a Personna Chrome Platinum and got one of the best shaves I’ve had since leaving Straight Razors. It’s easy too pick the edge up quickly on The Marvel. I’d buy one if I was you. It’s on the heavier but balanced great it’s a pleasure too shave with. It’s becoming a favorite of mine.
