A very enjoyable shave. I haven't used my NEW LC in some time, so it was good to try it again. While providing a very nice shave, smooth & efficient, I prefer my 2 piece RFB. Also just beginning to get acquainted with CBL Tonsiorial soap. It is a very good soap, but I will withhold judgment until I have more shave with it.

Razor: Gillette 195 Fat Boy
Blade: Gillette Platinum
Brush: Omega 10049 Pro Boar
Pre: Proraso Green Pre-shave Cream
Soap: Barrister and Mann Bay Rum
Post: Proraso Red After-shave
Beard: Proraso Cypress and Vetyver Beard Balm

Rating: 9.5/10 - It was an almost BBS shave today and I really enjoyed the razor blade combo on it's 8th shave. The Barrister and Mann was a great scent sweet and spiced, but I didn't care particularly for the density of the lather I created. It was very slick, I just like high density lathers, and I believe I watched somewhere that Barrister and Mann is not a high density lather, and the owner/creator likes it that way. Still worked well though!

I've missed the scent of this set ! Fantastic shave but if I'm honest glide was a notch below both MDC soaps I have.

No irritation and a very close resulting shave

The balm absorbed quickly and skin post shave is lovely and soft - maybe missing a bit of silkiness the MDC has but still top notch !

Edit .... thought I'd got away using the "C" plate as I had the last few days - but just shows the MDC has better protection as I can "feel" my face a little so have had to use the MDC balm which has restored natural order

I’m finding MWF to be slicker in my water than Tabac, although both lather great. Mystic Waters is also slicker so I may start experimenting with soaps and the Timeless. The Nacet blade seems perfect so likely ordering some in bulk very soon.

Pre: Proraso Green Pre-shave Cream
Soap: Sterling Soap Co. Margaritas in the Arctic
Post: Proraso Green After-shave
Beard: Proraso Cypress and Vetyver Beard Balm

Rating: 9/10 - DFS. It was a good shave with and a nice cool shave with all the menthol in the products listed above. The blade did great once I used a thinned lather, thicker lather felt like the razor or blade was dragging a little bit. Overall though, great shave again. A little more burn since I did a fourth pass today with the Proraso After-shave.

Shave 20191119

20191119_212823~2.jpg

Prep: Washed face with Neutrogena Liquid Soap
Pre-shave: Cremo and Glycerin
Soap: Tabac
Brush: OMEGA 011842 Premium Pure Bristle
Bowl: Timeless Blue
Razor: Personna Flat Bottom (Britain), RazoRock Halo Ti handle
Blade: Personna Israeli Platinum Red (1)
Post-shave1: Crystal Thai Alum Stick
Post-shave2: Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel plus Organic Moroccan Rose Water (3:1 ratio)
Aftershave Balm: Tabac
Aftershave: Tabac
Cologne: Tabac

WTG, XTG, ATG, plus some touch--up.

Solid, wife approved BBS with no nicks, cuts, weepers or irritation.

The Personna is a very interesting razor. I'm calling it a Flat Bottom because 1) it is and 2) there is no model designation I can find. One thing for sure, this razor shaves really well. Three passes and a bit of touch-up produced a solid BBS. Really comfortable and effortless shave.

Definitely sticking around and definitely, at least for now, in my rotation.

9++/10

First run out with this soap from Lainess done for Le Pere Lucien with Donkey milk and honey !!

Very easy to lather and the pic doesn't show how it glistened ... resulted in a very smooth BBS shave with great protection and a great post skin feel even before balm.

Scent is different - not unpleasant - just different

This will certainly complement the MDC soaps - so very happy even though again it isn't one of the cheapest out there.

The new brush from Heritage Shaving was very very nice :)
