Sorry, didn’t realize I was still in ”shaving soaps”, tried to remove but wasn’t succesful...

I am sure a mod will be able to move the thread for you.

In the meantime;

Prep: Hot Shower
Soap: Murphy&Mcneil Bad Mor
Brush: Rudy Vey reknotted vintage Rooney
Razor: Stay Sharp 5/8”
Post: alum followed by Thayers
A/S: Nivea cooling sensitive AS balm
Overall shave: 7/10

I rate the shave a 7 because the edge on this razor is t quite up to par just yet. I irritated the troublesome double direction growth spot on my neck, and didn’t shave as close around the goatee area as I am getting accustomed to do.

I guess I’m improving, if those are my only real complaints, but the shave only rates a 7.

Brush: Satin Tip Synthetic
Razor: Gardette Open Comb
Blade: Fresh Voshkod
Soap: WSP Rustic - Sandalwood
AS: Stirling Executive Man

Rating: 7.5/10 - Really good shave. It could have been even better but I got a little cocky and my technique slip on my neck and got just a little bit of irritation.

This is an interesting topic. Love the idea.

Today I used:
No prep
Van Der Hagen Deluxe soap (face lathered)
Razorock Plissoft synthetic brush
Gillette Slim Adjustable set on 5 for WTG, 3 first XTG, 2 second XTG
Gillette Wilkinson Sword Blade (second use)
Thayers Rose Petal witch hazel
Proraso Styptic Gel (got myself good on the jaw on my second pass, I was being lazy)
Nivea Sensitive Skin Aftershave Balm
Rating: 9

This is probably the closest all-around shave I've gotten since I started DE shaving back in January. Really liking the Gillette Slim, and it's knocked out my Razorock SLOC as my daily driver. Well, kind of. I'm sending it off to North Shore Razors to get the two-tone look done. Once it's back, then it will be my daily driver.

Prep: Hot Shower
Cream: Proraso Red
Brush: Cheap Brush From Izod Shaving Pack
Razor: Gillette Slim W/ Feather Blade

Got at least 4 weepers so not good.

Today I used:

Prep: Glycerin face soap for prep
Soap: Williams Mug
Brush: Omega 11126 Brush
Blade: Astra SP Blade (5th shave)
Razor: Van der Hagen
Post: Generic Witch Hazel post shave wash f/b Pinaud Clubman A/S
Raring: 8 blade was getting dull

P.S. I have been using rainwater in recent weeks due to our frequent (non-violent) storms.

Yesterday:

Pre-shave: Grooming Dept
Shaving cream: Barberry Coast Kingston
Brush: Brad Sears 26mm badger
Scuttle: Georgetown G20
Razor: Charcoal Goods Level 3 open comb
Blade: Feather
Aftershave: Maol Grooming Wilde Flowers

Rating: 10/10

Today:

Same pre-shave, shaving cream, scuttle, razor and blade.
Brush: Morris & Forndran 24mm badger
Aftershave: Chatillon Lux Fourth & Pine

Rating: 9/10

The difference? Human error today, less so yesterday.

Merkur Progress, with a Wilkinson Sword blade, and Edwin Jagger Menthol cream, with some Old Spice aftershave.

It was a 10/10 for me! The best shave I had in a LOOONG time :D

Hot shower
Hot water washcloth beard soak
Arko pressed into bowl to lather
Weber PH w. Classic handle razor
Wilkinson Sword blade
Cool rinse
Home made After Shave

Rockwell 6s (5)
PAA Atomic Rocket Synth
Gillette Pure (tube)
Astra SP (3)
Duke Cannon AS Balm

Rating 8/10 - Should have pitched the Astra before I started... 2 uses on that blade is enough.

Razorock SLOC with a Gillette Wilkinson Sword on its third use. Van der Hagen deluxe soap with a Razorock plissoft brush face lathered. Styptic pencil for three weepers under my chin which I always get with this razor there when trying to go ATG. Proraso aftershave balm after the witch hazel. Shave was probably an 8 out of 10. Not a fan of the Proraso after shave smell.
