What are some mild safety razors?

I only have 1 safety razor, and that's a Parker 91r. I have nothing to compare it to, but it seems rather aggressive. I would like to buy a second razor that's mild. I'd be willing to pay a lot of money if it meant quality.

For vintage, a Gillette Superspeed flare-tip blue comes to mind. Achim has an excellent English-made example on his site. They're pretty widely available.

Save your money and get a 40's SS or a flare or Blue tip. Could get a nice one of those for under $25 probably even under $20. Yes those are mild.

Superspeed is pretty mild, cheap and easy to find, Schick Krona - a good buy usually <20, Wilkinson sticky - nice but expensive. Using Derby blades will take the bite out of almost any razor.

I knew it wouldn't be long until people brought up vintage razors. I have no problem getting a used razor, but the amount of choices is confusing to me. Does the year it was made really matter?

Mildest you will find

Merkur Progress on 1. Gillette super adjustable on 1. Gillette Tech. Krona (and if you have deep pockets Feather AS-D1)

Fat Handled/Ball End Gillette Tech (Can usually score a user grade for under $15.) Great little shaver that is very forgiving but still offers BBS. The EJ DE89 is a great new razor, very mild, and not extremely expensive. Plus the plating on it is very good, though not as nice as the Muhle 89 razors.

And even the regular (not painted) Superspeed flares are reasonably mild. The reds are a bit more aggressive, but not real face-eaters.

Vintage Techs are easy to find and are mild, at least the three i have are the most mild of what i have. I did some searching on the Goodfella today and have come to find many people think its a mild razor,.. that being said what blades are you currently using, if they are feathers you may be able to make your current razor much more mild with a simple switch in blades

Merkur 15C/25C (classic open comb), Merkur 23C/33C (classic safety bar), Mühle R89, EJ 89 series, Lord L6 aka LP1822, Lord S625 aka Smart.

DE89 (same head as the R89) is mild and popular. A lot of money != quality. Fit and finish on the DE89 is excellent and it's relatively inexpensive.
