Warped razor (only slightly)

Picked up a Hilger and Sons # 87 a few weeks back the thing was dull and in the need of a restoration. Anyways, started honing the razor and noticed that I wasn't getting the edge i wanted on one side, checked it closer and noticed the very tip (shaving edge) has a small warp. Just enough to throw off the honing process. So what is the best way to remove/sraighten this warp and not cause any damage to the blade of this razor?

Thanks for any tips you could give a newbie.

Can you better identify the area. Do you mean the point or the edge? It's difficult to understand, at least for me.

Regardless,

There is no way to remove a warp. You can only minimize it's affect on the edge. Some do it by targeted honing, some do it by honing in a smile, some treat the spine... Some like narrow hones to minimize the affected area.

Others like me, just kind of live with it.

Okay, thats what i originally thought.

So it just has a wider bevel on one side near the point? If so, I'd just hone it until its sharp and move on. You'd have to use some finesse strokes to get the bevel on the inward bias side, but you should be okay.

Maybe someone has a better answer, but you cant really bend it back. It would likely break off.

If you totally couldn't live with it, you could round that part off.
