Vintage Single Edge 1912

I found this old single edge razor a a garage sale and at the time it looked to be pretty ancient. I inquired about the razor and they said it belonged to their grandfather who served in the Meuse Argonne offensive in WW1. I asked them the price and paid ten dollars more because I love anything about WW1... Uniforms, Equipment, Whistle, etc. When i took it home it was in amazing condition so i though id try it out. best shave I've ever gotten, who ever this Doughboy was he took really good care of his razor. Do any of you have stories or pictures of discoveries like this? If so I would love to hear about them.

Pictures please!!!! I'd love to know the WW1 vet's name, if you have it. Thanks for sharing your great find and congrats on discovering the joys of SE shaves.

I would never sell such stuff of my grandfather's... if I had any of his...
To think the travels that razor went on... phew...
