Vendors in Oxford, UK

Looks like I may be shipped back to our facility near Abingdon for 2 weeks in December for re-programming (been out too long, going native, handlers need to get me back in the fold ).

Given the traditional air Oxford (or at least the Oxford Tourist Board) likes to give off (dreaming spires, etc.) are there any decent vendors I can use if I need quality shave supplies?

Don't know about Oxford itself, but Oxford is only 36 miles from Hungerford and the Gentleman's Shop!

I have grabbed Palmolive sticks from Superdrug and (Israeli) blades from Tesco this past Summer. Guess I was just hoping there may be something a little more traditional in town.

Thanks for the hint on Hungerford - if I grab a car I may swing over that way.

Slightly worried that Penhaligon's has its Outlet Store in Bicester - that could be expensive.

Bicester is expensive. Boots in Oxford had Wilkinson Sword Blue Bowl shaving soap this time last year. I also seem to remember a gift packaged shaving mug and a soap puck set-up for the festive season there too

I swung by Penhaligons in December when I was over. Since the EdT was less then half price (30GBP for a non-boxed bottle) I just *had* to buy.

I may be back again in a couple of weeks...
