Twin Henckels Twin Works with covered tang

I'm thinking that if I take the plain side scales off of these two;

And put them in place of the Wednesday and Sunday scales on these two;
.
.

Then I ought to have two pretty nice Henckels after cleanup and honing.

Anybody see any potential problem with that thought process?

I think it will work PLUS remove the covered tangs and sell those! Covered tangs are nice and expensive to put on but to have them with the manufactures name on would be great and just rescale around the color of the tangs.

Yes, that should work, and keep the Tuesday and Thursday scales in case of an accidental drop.

Thanks for the thoughts fellas. I'll give it a go and see how things turn out.

Have them in hand. Much better condition than they appeared in the pictures.
The scales are not tapered or rounded, so i should be able to flip the unengraved two with broken blades and put them on the good two.

I'll keep you posted on progress.
