For about 8 months now I've been using nothing but soaps. Proclaiming proudly I am a "soap only guy". I had some free monies and ordered a brush, some Jermyn Street soap, but I still had a few more dollars to blow. I tacked on the Rose for the heck of it and WOW. I will still be an avid soap user, but I'm pretty sure SCAD just kicked in! The shave was awesome, and I forgot how creamy, thick, and beard softening-ly creams are!
TOBS Rose brought me back to creams!

My favorite TOBS is the rose. Great scent and easy to use.
Creams are so easy to use it's almost like cheating, and there are a bewildering array of scents available.
Now try the Truefitt&Hill version of the Rose cream. IMO.its the best rose cream out there,hands down. A superb cream.

My TOBS Rose is just about gone and I'm going to try the T&H Rose next. Love the Jermyn Street cream, too.

How is your son!?
He's doing great, thanks for asking. He was bored silly in Kuwait (and I was glad he wasn't in The Stan!), but he hates being bored, so he got through two levels of Army martial arts instructor and got EMT certified while he was there. He's home going to community college now, back with his PA Guard unit. He wants to try for special forces next year, and if he gets through looking for a spot with the 20th Special Forces Group (Alabama) and then go to Auburn University between training and deployments.
I just picked up a tub of TOBS Rose @ Pasteur's last night along with a few more creams.
