Tiffany Razor Question

Not too long ago, I asked whether or not this was a Tiffany razor set, and the general consensus is (was) that it is. My question now is, what evidence exists to prove that Tiffany & Co. had anything to do with the manufacture or sale of that razor? The seller in that auction mentioned that he saw no hallmarks anywhere on the set, so how can this be linked to Tiffany $ Co.?

I don't believe that is a Tiffany set. For the life of me, I can't find a picture of it now. But that razor looks like the sterling Old Type at the top of page 142 in Krumholz.

While I can't find the pic of the Tiffany set (will have to keep looking), my recollection is that the razor didn't look like that.

The picture of that particular razor in the Krumholz book is actually a sketch if I remember correctly. It's supposed to be telescoping, I believe.

Yes, it's a sketch in Krumholz.

In Waits' compendium there's a photo at the top of page Gillette 2-14:

It also looks like the Tiffany razor on Mr Razors site on the New Improved page. It also appears to have a telescoping handle.

Krumholz also mentions that Gorham and Tiffany were licensed by Gillette during the New Improved period.
