Glad you’re still here despite having other plans sometimes.
You too!Ok i need to get on my feet and be awake already. I will do my workout right after this post. I will try to shave today and be in and out of B&B throughout the day.
I also have a question but i will mod it first, just in case...
Good day B&Bers and good shaves
I have always been a cold and snow hater, even when i played hockey. And moving to a warmer State i only tried 1 time and i couldn't get out of NJ with that attempt..... hahaha....8-12 inches! Ouch, I'm glad I went to northern Europe, so I could avoid all that.
Glad to hear it. You have nade multiple reference to your memory in your journal. Is there a story behind that you'd like to share?Sorry i forgot something in my last post...
I had a doctor's appt. this morning. One thing they do is take my weight. Since a january 16th or 19th (they did a head scan on me) i have dropped 6 pounds (U.S.A. weight measurement not other countries weird money name, lol).
I have been re-remembering my weight was never a concern or worry for me. But my 5 month health improvements that have been happening not only just gave the doctor a positive result, some more tests will be done, but i felt good after i was given this info. 200-194
Glad to hear it. You have nade multiple reference to your memory in your journal. Is there a story behind that you'd like to share?
Wow,what a awful experience. What was going on in your life before that?Sure, i thought i did before...
From what my family and friends have told me with this time of my life....
I made a thread on B&B "hospitals are useless" feb. 6 2023 (i can't post the link for some reason).... so the following dates might be off... late january 2023 till april 2023 i could not hold down anything to eat or drink. What went in twice the amount came up. As in that thread i had some pain or whatever in my throat and tongue. Endish of april 2023 i collapsed or whatever on my bed. My dad "found" me and i was sent or brought to a hospital.
At the hospital i was revived(?) twice. I spent 1 month in that hospital and 1 month in a rehab. center of some kind. I could of had 1 or 2 strokes before my "collapse" or sometime before i left the rehab. I feel/think i had 2 strokes or being renewed did somthing as well. I have memories from rehab maybe 2 weeks. Hospital and beginning of rehab. My body had to be fed by the nurses, my body moved but very limited even being fed my body had to be propped up and held by a nurse so i could be fed properly. But my body cooperated a little because it chewed and swallowed the food.
Again limited info i have been told mostly...

Great story! I'm so glad you were able to turn things around!I worked for 3 auto parts "companies" for about 20 years. The first one was Auto Parts Kingdom a mom and pop store that had 3 sister stores. It was 2004 when i started there on an almost need to work there basis because of some not so fun tummy problems. I started there as a part-time delivery driver, my brother worked there and helped me get the job. I was against working for a corporation or big box company, so this job i blindly chose. I was also working night shifts as a cabby, that shift ended 3am mon.-thurs. 6am fri.-sun., started 6pm on those<--- days. And i started at APK 8am.
I learned sooooo much about motor vehicles and got kind of addicted to it. That store i learned about how engines worked, how parts were used and installed for vehicles to work good again, slight customer service type stuff and APK did rotor/drum cutting and a few other "shop" services which i tried to buy APK's shop tools in 2014 when the 2 brothers had to close their father's stores. And i can probably say my career was born.
I worked for a big red box store for just under 3 years, a joke to me because a district manager of their's i hated, told me that employees of their stores only stayed for 3 years before quitting so pay rates and raises rarely happened but the bonuses are available to those who "help" customers complete the whole repair job...
I worked for big red out of desperation. APK closed, i got a tire delivery job at another small company. It was a decent job until the one warehouse worker got the warehouse/dispatcher position, he hated me, i had no idea until he got "promoted". I worked there 7 months before his attempts at trying to make me quit or fired failed i had left a fully loaded work van unlocked in Newark NJ. My friend picked me up. That morning that dispatcher loaded the delivery van with 5 of his son's route stores and when i had to pull tires for a last minute order in another part of the warehous he followed me, threatened me both verbally and physically. Not a fighting type way, i was reaching to take down a tire and he pinned me against the metal shelves. That company wasn't bad just a couple if it's employees.
I tried to look for a job again, South Amboy Taxi had no spots opened. 6 months i couldn't get a job and got an interview at a NAPA store after the interview which i was hired during, i had to go home and wait a few days to get my hourly pay rate my idea and asking pay rate was at least $3 lower than what NAPA's minimum for that job was. I was amazed and estatic. Maybe a mile away from that store in New Brunswick NJ my latest newsed(new car to me but used) car decided it didn't need the transmission and blew pieces out of it. I took pictures of what happened and texted them to the manager of NAPA, thanking him for the offer of the job but i couldn't work for him or any of their stores. Public transpotation was available but because of my tummy problems bus rides were not an option for me.
I got back to my apartment several hours later, one of the times being junior worked out for me. I went online to fill out unemployment stuff and had to wait to see if i could get it. I did and another maybe 5 months later i got an interview at big red. Big red was/is across Route 9 about a mile away from my apartment, i had to get a job close to me, buses weren't safe for people with my belly and SAT i could get free rides from but knowing wait times i only went to apply at places within a 20ish mile radious. And i knew 2 people working at big red stores my brother and another APK counterman. It took them 5 months to get me my paperwork through because red's online application and approval blocked me from an interview.
Big red hired me and i was "given" the store across the highway from me, dm said they put me at that store because i couldn't get to the other store he wanted me in. I walked to/from work for maybe 3 months when a fortunate thing happened, my friend's auto repar shop had a customer give my friend a car as part of the payment of repairs he did. He also got the car as payment because of me. I stayed in the Parlin big red store for a yearish. Somethings happened in that store, i got a transfer to another store but not out of that dm's territory. I got 1 raise $0.10 and a few bonuses in the 2+ years there...
I was in the other store for several months and i finally got another NAPA interview. The first person for the new interview was giving me a kind of fun interview and i told him my first NAPA interview story. He excused himself out and a few minutes later came back with 2 other people. One was the HR lady the other one was the recently promoted manager i had the first interview with. I learned this (i am terrible at names and faces) when he took out his cellphone and showed us my text with that car's picture in it. We all had a laugh, i signed my employment documents and was give an hourly pay rate that nearly put tears down my face. To me, i never thought i could get that kind of pay, a difference in my pay rates i went from just over minimum wage to over double.
I worked for NAPA for 5 years and 3 months (i just remembered). I received bonuses every month, a few extra bonuses, they give raises every year and i got raises for completing different tasks related to the job like ASE certification. I got promoted to assistant manager within a year. I will keep this short...
That was almost like a promotional ad. Sorry, but i wish/pray/or whatever people say, to be able to work for corporate NAPA in NJ again.
Did i properly answer this question?Wow,what a awful experience. What was going on in your life before that?
I hear you on the payback part. Glad you are doing OK these days. I hope your health holds up!Did i properly answer this question?
My health prior to the collapse was just mostly i didn't know much about or cared to know. I developed anxiety, had and still have a little bit of reflux or that nastey vomit burp thing is called. My kidneys make kidney stones. And have high blood pressure that i don't know how long i have had it for. I had an urgent need to use a bathroom alot and most times as fast as possible.
I only went to a doctor for things i was concerned about like the first kidney stone my kidney made but the first one was an ER visit. And i had only a few jobs that offered health insurance i could kind of afford.
My diet was/is junk food when i'm "allowed" some once in awhile now. And this diet is because that is all i like or can eat....
So i caused most of my problems in my life and my body. And it wants to pay me back...
