What's new

this week's AD

Bought 3 pucks of soap and a 40's SS off the 'bay for <$9 shipped. Really had to pull myself back from the darkside when I saw a nice looking '62 slim adjustable listed as a "buy it now' for $20, was gonzo the next day.

So how did you fulfill your AD itch this week gentlemen?

Two pucks of Saint Charles Shave soap for $10 shipped through a closeout deal. Pistachio Nut and Honeysuckle.

- Chris

Tabac soap in bowl from Fragrance X (w/free shipping and great price, thanks 82R100!), another '47 Super Speed (seem to have a weak spot for them ), a Silver plated New Standard, a Z2 50's Super Speed and a lot of four (under $15 shipped!) incl. an unknown 40's Super Speed, a Bar Handled New (finish is gone) a nice looking Ever Ready (nice handle, like the older Gem 1912) and a gold/white handled Gem (a new version of the 1912? Unsure of the model as yet).

Oh, and a bottle of Pinaud Bay Rum!

But I'm gonna get the RAD under control now... really.

this week's AD:

- Gillette travel set w/case mint condition

- British Tech variant

- Silver fat handle Tech (from a fellow B&Ber who gave me a great price)

- Tabac from Fragrancex.com

- ceramic cup from a thriftstore to hold/soak my badger brush before shaves

- jar from thriftstore that contains a barbicide cocktail for sterilizing razors

Oh, and I stopped by our local C&E store on the way back from the gym and picked up a refill puck of their sandalwood soap. This is to replace the Nomad that I bought (w/ the wood bowl) a couple of weeks ago. It is a scent that did not grow on me :a52:

For me it was a trio of Super Speeds -- a '67 black handle that arrived in the mail on Thursday and two others I eagerly await ... an undated SS and a 1952 (birth year) X4 SS with a plastic case.

I think it's time to retire the Bic Sensitives to travel duty ... and order a nice blade sampler.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot that Tabac deal at Fragrance X.

Found the Caswell-Massey cologne sampler I've been looking for on the 'bay and acquired it for aroun $16, shipping included. I also picked up a jar of DR Harris "Marlborough" shaving cream and refilled my razor blade stores. 100 red personna's for $10. I love DE shaving, the basic supplies are so inexpensive.

My wife has been bugging me to get the C-M cologne sampler for a while, and I'm looking forward to trying it. The "Tricorn" scent looks, at least from the description, to be a fun one.
