Still out. First ever use of Fine shave soap and I am very pleased. Great, easy lather, slickness, and scent. Have a blessed Friday.

As the steward for both threads, I'm really conflicted here! However, the argument must be made that you could (and should) have waited until 10/1 to restock the Tabac "needed" for Tabactober. The "out" stands.

Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat (Tallow)
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC1.05 SB, Al Handle, Astra SP #8
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Balm
I started a fresh puck of MWF, in the original china bowl this time. Got a fine lather out of it, and a comfortable near-BBS.
Blades seem to last well in the 1.05. More efficiency ought to mean less irritation and less blade wear, in theory at least.
Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat (Tallow)
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC1.05 SB, Al Handle, Astra SP #8
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Balm

The current soaps are good but IMHO the Classic pucks were better
Still out but used another one of the objects of my September failure.
First time using a Noble Otter soap and all I can say is wow! The Barrbarr was fantastic. Great performance in every aspect and the scent might just be my favorite soap scent. I have used the same aftershave and I like it. However, when paired together, it’s a completely different experience for me. Very nice!
