Thank you Guido that’s what I have in mind. Something for the weekend to break the routine. Also chicken that I am I will stick to guarded blades for the time being.Hannes,
Shaving with this stile of razor takes some intense practise until muscle memory kicks in. I used my Feather foldable razor daily for FFFMM, it took me two weeks plus before I figured out proper angles more or less automatically.
A true BBS, however, still is tough to achieve for me, thanks to the awkward whisker swirls on my neck. It's become a Sunday shaver for me...
Just keep on trying...
Enjoy your Sunday!
Why not just go direct to a ‘real’ straight. I made the jump at the end of Jan 24 and now reach for one 95% of the time, obviously not when travelling though. It did take a while to get the angle right though. Next thing for me will be honing but not right now thoughThank you Guido that’s what I have in mind. Something for the weekend to break the routine. I don’t want the fuss and upkeep especially caring for carbon steel and stroping/honing I would just accumulate more and more stuff so not very GRUME friendly. This Shavette I bought with a couple of others 3 years ago and yesterday was my first shave with it.Why not just go direct to a ‘real’ straight. No, not at all. I like ProGuards best in my foldable razor. Efficient and safe - no drama, no fuss...Also chicken that I am I will stick to guarded blades for the time being.
