The Office

Season seven premieres tonight at 9:00 PM EST on NBC. This will be Steve Carell's last season.

Is anyone else a fan?

I'm a big fan. I pretty bummed that this will be Steve Carrell's last season but I'm curious to see how the write him out.

We never miss it. We TIVO it and watch when we get time. Bought a couple T-shirts recently also. Schrute Farms Beets and Assistant to the Regional Manager. Get lots of comments from "The Office" fans.

My wife and I are huge fans of the show. Unfortunately, I worked till 930 last night and missed it. I hope there is a webisode we can catch.

Do you think they will continue the show? I heard that Mindy Kaling (Kelly Kapoor in The Office) also wants to quit. I am sure the show can continue without her, but continuing without Steve Carell is going to seem a little strange to me.

NBC.com always has them for free with limited commercials.

Stopped watching after season 5, mainly because we should have stopped watching after Season 4.

There was a time when the show wasn't quite as good. What I always liked was how it could make the viewer feel uncomfortable.

That was missing in many of the episodes in the seasons you mention. Some of Season 6 was better (Shareholder Meeting and Scotts Tots). Fingers crossed for 7.

One of my favorites was the 'Dinner Party' episode, which I think was back in Season 4.

Get the original UK episodes from Netflix to see how good the show was as originally conceived.

I'm not a big Carrell fan, and I've always hated the Michael character. I think it would be awesome if they replaced him with Ricky Gervais, who played the boss in the Original British version of The Office.

Definitely prefer the British version. If you like those uncomfortable moments from the US version (few and far between, IMO), then start watching the British version now. Gervais is a master of trainwreck situation comedy.

The British and American shows really are two separate beasts making their own way. As a Brit I quite like the way the American version has developed in its own right. However I can't forgive what you did to Life on Mars!

Good lord...It must have been the great white from "Jaws" that the season premiere jumped last night.

What happened? Knowing the Carrell is leaving, did they just decide to kick into neutral and let the interns write this?

The teaser fake music video was horrendous--unfunny, overlong, and completely gratuitous. Quite possibly the worse five minutes in the history of the show.

The rest of it was equally reprehensible. The whole nephew/bad intern plot was completely stupid and the lame practical joke think was a joke. And what's up with this 'What I did last summer" thing? Are they surmising that the show's "documentarians" didn't do any filming of the office in the summer?

If it doesn't get better fast, it's off my watch list fast.
