Razor : Ever-Ready Streamline 2nd generation, Mfg 1949-53, excellent upper mid range, one of the best looking ASR razors in IMO with the heavy base plate. It took a while to figure this Jewel out with a RIGS >shim

. The razor was designed with blade stops forward as close to the safety bar for aggression and efficentcy. No information on that anywhere so it was pictures and through trial and error that I figured it out. The Streamline shaves are stellar with good technique and knowing what the razor is designed to accomplish IMO. I like to use my Streamline near 6-10 shaves on the blade for excellent results mostly giving my other ASR razors a chance in rotation. Great razor + great shave this morning!
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(9) Very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Gillette Pure Cream- nice sweet clean scent with excellent lather qualities. Make excellent ubber lather also.
Brush : Yaqi "Black marble" 24mm tuxedo knot, this brush got me on the Yaqi brand years ago. Excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Nivea refreshing aftershave + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=

Now here is an interesting thing. As a member of the cult I have a few of the variations but I just found this.

This is from Australia and is an Ever-Ready "Streamline" head with a short Peerless handle in a travel set marked Gem. I believe it is original as I have seen one before, which I couldn't buy as they wouldn't post it. That one too, I think, was a box marked Gem with an Ever-Ready head. The paperwork does reference a 1912 but a normal 1912 will not fit in the box and, as far as I know, there were no British made squat heads. Also the handle is chrome, not nickel, to match the head.
What do you think? Can I call it a "Travel Streamline"?

Nice find, lucky you. As for the handle I have never seen one with that imprint before, usually they have the chain link style with the raised corners. Special handle for a special razor head & looks like a second generation type also+ head is in beautiful shape.
Thanks for sharing.

Razor : Ever-Ready streamline, 2nd Generation, 1949-53, upper mid range, well built and designed to last + eye candy to myself for a ASR razor. I like to use this razor when blade count is close to 7-10 uses. It takes a few shaves to master this razor but it delivers a nice shave. I did not care to use this razor when learning it and know I enjoy it more, go figure! I use a RIGS shim underneath the modern spline area because it smooths out the shave nicely. Excellent shave this morning with no issues.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(10) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier, nice scent (Aramis?) with excellent lather qualities, Yaqi commissioned Master Soap Creations S.A for their soap and fragrance line of products. One of my favourite scents and soaps to use .
Brush : Yaqi "Casino Clubs" 26mm Husky knot, excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Post shave : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : 1-10 dial - Copy (2)2 template 10.jpg or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=:a17: Excellent shave with my Ever-Ready Streamline SE razor with a Gem coated blade.

I already have a new type streamline, but today i won a auction whit what it seems too be a old type streamline. When i look at the comparison foto of the old, new and jewel streamline it almost look like the old type has another shine too it, has the older type streamline another sort of plating?.

Whit best regards Manuel

Razor : Ever-Ready Streamline 2nd generation (1950's)- Mfg 1949-53, upper mid range. Well built to last generations and a joy to use when mastered. This ASR has a totally different base plate that is thicker and is machined with a closed comb instead of stamped out. Had a close comfortable shave with a shim(RIGShim to smooth out shave) at the back to raise the spline to old similar blade specs.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (9) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Cyril R Salter Wild Rose cream- nice rose scent 5-6/10 with wonderful lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Lucky Casinos" 26mm Timberwolf knot. Excellent lather generator, heavenly Luxury cloud like soft tips, Gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. One of the best synthetics I enjoy in my collection!
Post shave : Neiva ever refreshing lotion + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).

Razor : Ever-Ready streamline, 2nd generation- Mfg 1949-53, mid to upper mid range. The second generation had slight changes to base plate as compared to 1930's model it incorporated a machined closed comb safety bar for better drainage. The overall looks are unique eye candy and is one of the most interesting razor models to master of the ASR models IMO. I use a RIGS shim to mimic the old thicker splined blades of that era for more comfortable shaves(tilts the blade properly for that razor design IMO). Had a wonderful close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(10) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer rapier, very unique scent that is addictive( Aramis classic cologne mimic) + excellent lather qualities. Master soap creations S.A was commissioned by Yaqi for their soap and aftershave line of products.
Brush : Yaqi "Red Zebra" 26mm snow leopard synthetic knot. Excellent lather generator, heavenly, luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Yaqi 26mm synthetic knots are awesome IMO.
Post shave : Yaqi Musketeer rapier splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : Dial 10.jpg or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=:a17: Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Ever-Ready streamline with a Gem coated blade. I like to use the Streamline razor when blade # of uses is high to get last last drop of life out that great blade!
