T&H Trafalgar Essential Oil Alternative

I got a sample the Trafalgar cream and I loved it. The only problem is that I generally don't do so well with fragrances - I do much better with essential oils. I know that Art of Shaving uses essential oils in their creams instead of fragrances - but is there anything that is essential oil based that smells remotely like Trafalgar? I would be open to soap too.

...is there anything that is essential oil based that smells remotely like Trafalgar?

I would say almost certainly not, although I suppose that depends on just how "remote" you're talking. According to the T&H website, Trafalgar contains sandalwood, cedarwood, jasmine and spice. You could look for a product containing those and see what you think, or you could try to approximate the scent blending those oils yourself. But unless you're extremely good, or extremely lucky, I doubt you'll get something that really smells like it.

Traf is a pretty synthetic scent. I doubt you're going to find anything like it in an EO. Honestly, the drydown almost reminds me of an artificial approximation of honeydew melon.

If the sample didn't bother your skin, chances are you're find to use this cream. If you do end up buying a tub and it causes a skin reaction, you can always sell or trade it on the B/S/T.

Thanks for the ingredients make up. I think I might find something similar from Em's Place - based on her ingredients lists. I have some samples from her that I need to check out.

Let us know if you find something that meets your expectations. I'd be surprised if you find anything in Em's products that even comes close to emulating the Trafalgar scent, but then, I don't know what your standard is for smelling "remotely like Trafalgar" is, either.
