Oud went West so ordered more...

I was supposed to have an oud delivery a few days ago but it went went West and will have to chase it up with the Royal Mail postie tomorrow, Monday.

So I ordered another identical Cambodi Quadeem straight oud that`s not a blend.

Already got the Agarwood (Aquilaria malaccensi) 100% Pure & Natural Essential Oil which is phenomenal on it`s own and will be synergistically potentiated with the others; subtlety does it though - these can easily dominate a large room if one is indiscrete with application and mixing.

To say they`re long-lasting and have major projection is an understatement - My friends can still notice the base wood note on my coat - five days later but it`s not overwhelming; it`s subtle and exotic but very old-fashioned.

I`m an old caveman and modern fashionable scents designed by a politically-correct committee are an anathema to me.

I don`t want a de rigueur , unisex here today-gone tomorrow fragrance ; I want a sophisticated manly smell that was worn hundreds / thousands of years ago when fashion wasn`t so expensive, fleeting and transient.

I got a $40 single mature vintage oud to replace the lost in the post one and...

I got a few lucky dip ones I can blend and try out and these include these Arabian, Middle Eastern and Asian classics...

1/ - Suede Saffron Premium Perfume Oil / Attar / Musk / Oud / Fragrance

2/ - Pomegranate Musk - Super Thick - Premium Perfume Oil / Attar / Oud Fragrance

3/ - Blue SPICE oud - Premium Perfume Oil / Musk / Attar / Fragrance

4/ -

Orange & Tobacco Oud SOIR By Atiyyah.LDN - Premium Perfume Oil / Attar Fragrance / Musk

5/ - Cultured Gentleman - Mens Perfume Oil / Attar / Musk / Oud fragrance

6/ - DEHNAL OUDH QADEEM 12ML BY OUD D`ARABIE EXCLUSIVE PREMIUM PERFUME OIL/ATTAR/ITR

Most of these are the base notes and inspiration for a lot of very expensive state of the art colognes and perfumes ; they are still popular now because they have stood the test of time but crucially they are not feminised and made to be unisex.

Once I blend these with my floral, fruit and herbal essential oils plus my heavyweight woods like the Sumatran Vetiver, Somalian Royal Frankincense, Myrrh, Mysore Sandalwood, Red Cedar, Lebanese Cypress and Moroccan Cedar plus the gorgeous mature raw oud essential oil plus the Siberian white birch tar - I am going on a smell journey thousands of miles away and quite possibly, historically, centuries ago and hopefully people around me will be transported with me and not offended; more intrigued and inquisitive.
