Hello all. First post here. I lost my safety razor and finally broke down and popped my straight razor cherry. I have a paddle strop from the straight razor kit my wife bought for me two years ago. I had been using a DE safety for four years. My kit came with a Thiers strop paste. I just want to know how to use the paste. How much do I apply and to which side. I'll pick up the rest from other posts. I appreciate the help!

I would wait a while before pasting any leather strops, since once it's done there is no going back.
A better alternative is to paste a balsa wood slat. If you don't like it you are only out a few bucks. You can pick up balsa slats from hobby shops and such.
